What does having an account mean?Having an account means that when booking a hire, you don't have to pay up front straight away. You will instead get a 30 day term on your invoice.

What does LOLER stand for?LOLER stands for Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. These regulations require lifting equipment such as hoists, winches, slings, chains and shackles to undergo thorough examination at specific intervals. These examinations include visual, function and load tests that are completed by a competent person. It is mandatory to keep a detailed record of inspections, defects and any corrective actions.

How often does my equipment need to be inspected?Lifting equipment and accessories used for lifting people must undergo an examination every 6 months. Lifting accessories must undergo a thorough examination every 6 months. All other lifting equipment must undergo a thorough examination every 12 months, however, can be more regular depending on the amount of use.

What is the difference between lifting accessories and lifting equipment?Lifting equipment is defined as any work equipment used for lifting or lowering loads such as, electric chain hoist, manual chain hoists or winches. This also includes attachments used for anchoring/fixing. Lifting Accessories is defined as any equipment used to attach the load to the lifting equipment, which is not a part of the permanent load such as, shackles, hooks, chains, ropes and slings.
